Electrolytic start capacitors

Electrolytic start capacitors are normally used in single-phase induction motors to increase the value of the torque. In fact, they provide an advance current to the auxiliary motor winding.
The start-up period must be limited to fraction of a second, or at most a few seconds. Once the starting phase has run out, the capacitor must be disconnected from the circuit.

Select the right capacitor for your application.
